Okay, so I love listening to song covers on YouTube! :D
Here are two girls that I really, really like. I'm not gonna comment because both videos speak for themselves.
This one's a cover of 'Spooky' (Dusty Springfield):
This one's Replay (Iyaz Cover):
(ps - the bloopers in the end are funny too!)

I Am Beautiful
I don't usually feel good about myself, so I thought I'd quickly write down my feelings before it all disappears into thin air :) Okay, I'll start from the beginning...
I believe it's a well known fact that it's easier to lose weight when you feel good about yourself/do something that makes you happy. I've noticed that it certainly works for me.
So a couple of days back, I decided to get a nice haircut. The stylist is this amazingly talented guy (I used to get my hair done when I used to live here before) and I was SO glad that he was still in town. I'll try and upload a pic :P
Anyway, so yeah, I did that - and I feel great about myself - been receiving hoards of compliments. Couple of guys I met at a party were actually flirting! Haha! Life's good:) And yes! I have been eating well too - AND exercising! Which brings me to this funny thing (I can't believe it happened to me!).
I don't usually like going to the gym these days (because I feel so fat working out among all these gorgeous people), but I did yesterday. Now, I don't go to an independent gym - I'm a member of one in a 'reputed' hotel (not taking names) :p
So I quickly signed in the sheet at the reception place (or whatever that sign-in place in front of the gym is called) and went to the locker. When I went back to begin my warm-ups the guy from the reception comes up to me......
Guy: I'm sorry ma'am, but you forgot to fill this out? *hands me a sheet of paper*
I: Umm, I already signed in. What's this?
Guy: You need to mention your room number and the airline you work for?
I: Uhhhhh... *stupid look on my face*
Guy: *takes sheet from my hand, points at a box* Here. What airline do you work for?
Blink. Blink.
And then...
I: Ooooooooooooooooooooh..oh wait, no, I'm not a flight attendant. *hand over my gym pass*
Guy: *suddenly flustered* Sorry, ma'am... *leaves*
I was so stunned, I didn't know what to think for five whole minutes. I couldn't believe that happened to me. Hahaha! I mean, hell, it feels good. But the guy was kind of stupid, wasn't he? I mean, which airline hires flight attendants that weigh 182 (yep!!) lbs??
But hehe, I'm definitely not denying that it felt - fking AMAZING!!!! :D :D
And yessss, the scales at the gym say I'm 182lb...which means, I just have 2lb more to go!! Yay! I love the gym! :)

Hate Mail
Yay! So I got my first ever hate mail! :)
I was amazed actually, because people hardly read this blog - and I was like, woah!
Anyway, this person basically bashed me for being a 'wannarexic'...and that I should stop blogging...etc. etc. - I think we all get the picture.
Well, okay, let me clear things up for everyone..Especially Mr/Ms Hater :)
First of all, I have NEVER claimed that I have an eating disorder in ANY of my entries. I can't even being to imagine the struggle people with anorexia or bulimia go through and I don't want to disrespect them by 'pretending' to have an ED.
My intake is always at or above 1200 cals - and anyone with an ED will agree that for them, that's a BAD day.
I just want to be thin, and wanting to be 110lb - given my height - is a VERY reasonable goal and I'm not starving myself to get there. Just limiting my calorie intake and working out real hard. That's all.
And all the thinspo I post - honestly none of the girls appear to be suffering from an ED. Those pictures are to motivate me (and others) to reach their goals.
So there you are. I'm not angry - just surprised/amused. And NO I will NOT stop blogging :)
Have a nice day all!
Love x

La la la la la la
Today I bumped into this girl after about two months. She used to work with me and then switched jobs - whatever - anywhooo...When she saw me she was like, "Oh my gosh! You've lost SOOOOO much weight!!"
And I was like WTF?? No way!
And she's like it totally shows!!
Okay, so I'm certain she's exaggerating. But then I came home and tried on this old dress that wouldn't zip up - and it kinda did. It's still quite snug though.
But who cares!! WOOOT!! :)
But the funny thing is, my waist band of my jeans are still the same (well, okay, they are slightly loose). BUT they are noticeably loose around my bum and thighs.
I'm surprised I didn't notice!!! But I'm SO psyched!! :)
I think all the exercising has really paid off...and I think I haven't actually 'lost' that much weight because of the muscle mass that I am gaining. Hmm...I dunno...but it does feel good!!! :)
So although it isn't dramatic - I'm glad that my efforts are at least paying off. I just wish I could speed up the process..
Love x
Ps - Some thinspo coming up tomorrow!

Emancipate Yourself from Mental Slavery...
I love making resolutions...having goals... I might not necessarily meet all of my targets but I like setting them nonetheless. I like having something to look forward to and sometimes (as sad as it sounds) I feel like it gives my existence some meaning.
Needless to say, I have one of those 'Bucket Lists' - 100 Things to do before I die.
So I'm not making any new resolutions this year (other than the whole weight loss thing - which I'm going to talk about later). My resolution is to strike out a few things from my bucket list this year :)
1. Read 10 classics
2. Learn Spanish (Intermediate/Advanced)
3. Make a sculpture from plaster of paris
4. Go scuba diving
5. Fly a kite
6. Turn vegetarian
7. Try jet skiing
8. Play hopscotch on a beach
9. Wear a bikini (and look great in it) :P
10. Visit a foreign country (I have a list of 30 that I want to visit)
Okay, to be honest, I picked out the easy ones (I have stuff like, obtain a second Masters degree in there). But I think considering where I am right now, these will be easy to accomplish (and give me a sense of accomplishment) :)
There's this fun blog called Funky Brown Chick that I like reading sometimes. And her latest post really hit home...
She said, "Give me a stable, healthy existence without any real challenges (i.e. Illinois) and I’ll bore. I want thrills. Fun. Adventure. Shitty experiences that I’ll bitch and moan about for ages until, years later, I’ll be thankful they caused to me grow into a better person. To me, that’s better than experiencing regrets and unfulfilled dreams. I want to live. You know, like, REALLY live instead of just settling for something that’s the sensible/right thing to do."
I could SO relate to that. Right now, I'm doing the sensible thing....and I'm not really happy. Working here is definitely a safer option...but I'm not going anywhere and I'm definitely not growing as a person. Yet I'm afraid to take that leap. Leave everything and travel for a couple of years...do some volunteer work in different countries. And after that do my PhD. That's what I want. What I REALLY want. Yet.....
Meh! Fuck it!
Okay...weight loss...
That's it! No more of this BS..my target for this month: 175lb
If I hit 170lb then that'll be great but 175lb is the minimum!
Plan: Work out for a total of 2 hours (and hour each in the morning and evening)
Eat: No refined carbs, sugars, etc. Keep intake between 1200-1400.
Next weigh in: 7th Jan 2010 :)
